BabyMatch Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BabyMatch (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the BabyMatch mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we store an anonymous user identifier through our authentication provider, Supabase. We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal contact information.

Session and matching data. BabyMatch is built around shared sessions between two partners. We store the names you swipe on, your like/dislike choices, your gender filter preference, and the resulting matches so that both partners can see them.

Purchase information. If you purchase BabyMatch Pro, the transaction is processed by Apple via in‑app purchase. We receive a receipt confirming the purchase but do not see your payment details.

Advertising identifiers. Free users may see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier and other diagnostic data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can limit this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Diagnostic logs. The app may send anonymized error and usage logs to our Supabase backend so we can diagnose crashes and improve the product. These logs are not used to identify you.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• Provide the core matching experience between you and your partner.
• Sync your preferences and matches across devices.
• Process Pro purchases and unlock premium features.
• Show ads to free users.
• Diagnose bugs and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data Sharing

We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the app:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and edge functions.
• Apple — in‑app purchase processing.
• Google AdMob — ad delivery (free tier only).

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → “Delete my account & data”. This permanently removes your profile, swipes, and matches from our database.

Children’s Privacy

BabyMatch is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision.
